虫入り琥珀 (バーマイト)

Here you get 2,5 cm long , well preserved scorpion in Amber from the cretaceous times! Sadly the tail of the scorpion, as well as one on arm was damaged, or partly removed by the polishing process. nevertheless the specimen shows no other damages and considering the fact that not even the handful scorpions have been found from this location and none of them reached this size! this old animal is very close under the surface and besides tiny brownish inclusions it's nicely visible under the microscope. The sting of the scorpion is still included as well as other small insects. Considering the age and the size you get a very unique and extremely rare collector’s item.
