ジルコン (Zircon)

Unusual and very big zircon crystal from Burma. The crystal shows only at one edge some fracture planes, besides this area only the formal base is partly damaged. Viewed from one side the crystal discloses a perfect tetragonal crystal habit. The other side reveals a big contact soon with the crystal was formally connected to its matrix but no fracture planes visible only some white unknown crusts is visible. The crystal emits pending on the area different high radiation levels. The highest total those which is 9 Microsievert per hour but only around 2.5 Microsievert per hour is gamma radiation. Very peak and mostly fully intact zircon crystal specimen from this location.
