Normally crystals from this species are pretty rounded by fluviatile transport. In general andalusite is a polymorph variety of Kyanite or Sillimanite, chemical those are the same, the difference lays in the crystal structure, due to other pressure and temperature condition during the genesis. A variety of andalusite is chiastolite which is found west of Mandalay, while the sillimanite is found around Ohn Gaing.
