Mineral: | Zirconolite - 3T | Fórmula química: | CaZrTi2O7 - UZrTiMgO7 | Tamaño: | | Peso: | | Transparencia: | | Número de piezas: | | Origen: | close to Kyauk Kha village, near Myan Gyi (Myaing-Gyi) mine, Thurein Taung (Sun Mountain), west of Mogok, Shan State, Burma (Myanmar) | Well this s the best zirconolite crystal I have seen so far this piece shows such a perfect hexagonal habit I was suspecting a sapphire crystal. The main crystal looks like a bipyramidal sapphire and at one side there are another two hexagonal crystals interpenetrating each other. The crystal emits a total radiation of 11,3 µS/h which is pretty much regarding the Tamaño of the specimen the total gamma dosage is only 3,3 µS/h so therefore the specimens’ can be easily shielded. A great triplet with fine luster !
