Mineral: | Painita | Fórmula química: | CaZrBAl9O18 | Tamaño: | | Peso: | | Transparencia: | | Número de piezas: | | Origen: | Cerca de la base de Hinthar Hill, Distrito de Wetloo, Kyauk Pyat That, al oeste de Mogok, Birmania (Myanmar) | Here you get a pure Painite crystal, many dealers call there specimens big painites but in fact it’s a intergrown conglomerate of limonite, mica and painite, only partly ruby or sometimes spinel, also rare quantities of zirconolite and srilankite have been found in painite paragenesis. This specimen has a good prismatic shaped with great and fine striation. Sadly there is no termination but anyway bigger sized specimens are rarely found include termination. It has been no painite found since many years, so all specimens are old stock. So such specimens will be scarcer day by day.
