Mineral: | Cianita (Distena) | Fórmula química: | Al2SiO5 | Tamaño: | | Peso: | | Transparencia: | transparente - translúcido | Número de piezas: | | Origen: | Moe Nyin, el estado de Kachin, del Norte de Birmania (Myanmar) | Well here you get an exceptional Kyanite Crystal, this pieces is not like normal parallel along (100) twinned, it is angular twinned! Also this crystal is terminated, which is mostly hard to tell for this species but this on shows the triclinic pinacoid. The termination faces looking a bit rough but this can be quiet usual among such crystals. Also some slightly quartz coating you can see on these faces. Nevertheless the transparency, on some parts is quite gemmy. A rare Kyanite crystal from the north of Burma !!
