This fellow is radioactive due to some incorporated Thorium or Uranium atoms, zircons usually contain 1 to 20,000 ppm of uranium and from approximately0.5 to 5,000 ppm of thorium . In this case the radiation is around 10 times higher than the background around 2,5 µSv/h . Fully intact specimen !
