Mineral: | Zirconolite - 3T | Chemical Formula: | CaZrTi2O7 - UZrTiMgO7 | Size: | | Weight: | | Transparence: | | Quantity: | | Origin: | close to Kyauk Kha village, near Myan Gyi (Myaing-Gyi) mine, Thurein Taung (Sun Mountain), west of Mogok, Shan State, Burma (Myanmar) | This is a fine example of a twinned zirconolite crystal with almost full termination, only one ending is shows a crystalline fracture face. The specimen is disclosing very nicely the trigonal and the hexagonal shape. One crystals is trigonal while the other is pseudo hexagonal shaped. The radioactivity is 6 µSv/h for alpha-, beta- und gamma. The gamma radiation dosage is only 0,8 µSv/h. Fine specimen and rarely seen for his mineral specimens.
