Top Rare Caesium- Beryl in Matrix

This specimen is a real Burmese treasure, not many caesium- beryl crystals are found and especially not many in matrix. This piece comes from the new mine and has distinctive prism faces and a basal pinacoid; on the top are smaller crystals imbedded. The prism faces discloses the typical growth of a beryl crystal and even the mostly covered back side shows a terminated face. A superb crystal, most intense color is located on the top of the crystal. In the neighborhood you find orangey brownish topped tourmaline crystals mostly in undamaged condition all together imbedded in quartz and feldspar, there are also a few small caesium- beryl crystals viewed under a loupe, but only with very light saturated color. The only caesium- beryl crystal in matrix I ever have seen in Burma.
