Mineral: | Quarzt / Saleeite | Chemical Formula: | SiO2 / Mg(UO2)2(PO4)2·10H2O
| Size: | | Weight: | | Transparence: | transparent - translucent | Quantity: | | Origin: | Sakangyi area, west of Mogok, Shan State, Burma (Myanmar) | Well this is a rare association of smokey and amethyst scepter quartz together with some highly fluorescence Saleeite (uranium mica) the piece has no damaged termination. There are 4 Saleeite crystals together with muscovite placed in the matrix among the scepter crystals, disclosing a greenish yellow coloration and are glowing bright neon yellow under UV exposure. The radioactivity is quite low; 2,4 µSv for alpha and beta radiation measured in 1 cm distance from the Saleeite crystals. There is no gamma radiation. A unique specimen, I was able to purchase only one.
